Trash……The Future

Most horrific scene i ever come across of a nature less pleasant with plastic, no one would ever imagine how horrible this scene could be; A tree holding most precious thing in the world in a most dangerous substance humans ever invented. I highly appreciate the efforts of UAE Government to maintain the parks and public places clean, friendly and safe but sadly on the other hand public seems to be least bothered.

Enough plastic is thrown away each year to wrap the earth four times. Have you ever bothered to pay any attention to the amount of plastic we encounter in our daily life? Have you ever wondered where does this go after we are done?………….“NO WHERE”…………yes most of them ends up in land fill or ocean, Okay… then what happens to it?……….”NOTHING”……..absolutely nothing. It takes 500-1,000 years for plastic to degrade.
Virtually every piece of plastic that was ever made still exists in some shape or form.

Still not horrified?……..The Great Pacific Garbage Patch is located in the North Pacific Gyre off the coast of California and is the largest ocean garbage site in the world. This floating mass of plastic is twice the size of Texas which is over 1,392,482 km² or a bit less than United Kingdom and bigger than Iceland.

Ever wanted to rise above plastic? Here are some tips:
- Choose to reuse the shopping bags and water bottles
- Refuse one-time/disposable plastics
- Go for recycle grade plastics like PETE or HDPE
- Volunteer with family and friends in beach clean up
- Finally spread the word, ……………..i just did 
